Commissions: Splashbacks

Unlock the transformative potential of your kitchen with Galiani Glass Art's exquisite handmade glass splashbacks.

At Galiani, we recognise the kitchen’s pivotal role in modern interior design, serving as both a hub for family gatherings and a sanctuary for culinary creativity. As proponents of ‘Art in the Kitchen’, we believe in infusing every space with a touch of sophistication and elegance.

With our bespoke designs, we offer a refreshing departure from standard colour schemes, allowing you to express your unique style in a space often dominated by practicality. An original glass art splashback offers the opportunity for a visual style and sophistication that we don’t always attribute to the kitchen.

Drawing upon the craftsmanship of our Dorset glass studio, we collaborate closely with you to bring your vision to life, resulting in a bespoke installation that can serve as the focal point of any home. Whether enhancing your kitchen, bathroom, or utility room, our glass splashbacks are designed to leave a lasting impression.

We will guide you through every step of the process, from selecting the perfect colour palette to implementing innovative design techniques. Working in partnership with you is important to us, it enables us to understand your visualisation and for us to add our experience and knowledge to be able to achieve the right result for you and your home.

At the heart of the Galiani Glass Studio is a two-metre kiln, one of the largest artist kilns in Dorset, enabling us to produce your kilnformed splashback using a range of different glass types from around the world. We have often taken on new ideas and concepts with our clients, so come and share your ideas and dreams and we will do our best to turn them into the reality of a glass art splashback for your home.

Our personalised approach ensures a seamless journey from consultation to installation, guiding you every step of the way. Contact us to arrange a visit to our studio, chat over a coffee, share your ideas and dreams and explore our range of designs. We will do our best to turn them into the reality of a glass art splashback for you.

We are very pleased with our kitchen splashback which finishes off the kitchen a treat.

Friends and neighbours who have seen it, also think it is a beautiful piece of art.

We got inspiration for our splashback after visiting Ian and Gail’s studio.

They are friendly, helpful and willing to share their knowledge to ensure we got the product we wanted and will love for a long long time.

Visiting their studio meant we could talk through what we wanted and make the right choice for our kitchen splashback.

Your design flare and artisan skills have brought to life our seaside home.

Well done – we hope you are as proud of what you have created as we are joyed to look at the beautiful glasswork every day!

The entire experience from beginning to end has been exceptional.

First meeting Ian at the workshop and being able to see the amazing art work you both create and Ian sharing his creative ideas which enabled us to make the right choice.

…attention to detail, understanding of what we wanted, their all-round support and customer service was excellent.

Thank you so much for our magnificent glass splashback. It truly is a work of art. Everyone who sees it remarks on how beautiful it is.

Dorset Scenes Window Insert

Our clients had seen us at an event the previous Year and they had a creative idea for a set of windows they felt we could bring to life for them. They called to arrange to come to the studio to chat about a possible commission of a series of four handmade windows to adorn a pair of interior doors accessing the living room.

Silver Wrist Torc Memory Glass

We were first approached to consider producing one of our handmade memory glass pieces on the anniversary of a beloved brother’s passing. Several family members came to see us to discuss options and what was possible.

Flame Glass and Metal Garden Sculpture

When the call came from the client it was to meet up and see whether we were the right studio to consider for a glass and metal garden sculpture that they had been thinking about for a few years. It wasn’t until they saw our glass that they were struck that this was the medium they wanted in the garden.

Isle of Wight Splashback

Our clients met us at Mudeford Arts Festival and loved our work. They had not long had a new kitchen fitted and were looking for just the right design for a splashback. When they saw our glass, they knew immediately that our fused glass panels were the way to go and went home to work out the size panel they would like.

DECO handmade glass splashback

We were asked to make one of our handmade glass splashbacks to compliment not just a new kitchen and some of the interior styled furnishings but also the very Art Deco inspired building. We followed up with a meeting to talk over the images, materials, design possibilities and getting to know and understand what options we could explore.
