How to commission your bespoke art glass

1
Come and meet us!

We would love to invite you to our studio for a coffee and a chat amidst our stunning fused Art Glass pieces – the perfect setting for sparking creativity! Then why not take the rest of the day to explore the Dorset Coast. Feel free to bring along any sketches, photos, colour swatches, or mood boards during your initial visit to our studio. If you can’t get to us, don’t worry. We can talk via email, telephone or even arrange a zoom meeting.

2
Give us the go-ahead

Once we’ve discussed your ideas and preferences, we’ll put together a detailed quote and specification sheet for your review. Depending on the design, techniques used or content we may suggest producing a sample for you so that you can get a feeling of the finished piece. Then once you are ready and give us the go-ahead, we’ll request a deposit of 50% to begin work on your commission, with the remainder only due upon completion.

3
Let the firing commence

We can now order in your glass and begin to put our combined vision into creating your bespoke fused glass art and when we are completely happy, we will load it carefully into the kiln. At this point we can send you a photo or you can come to the studio to see your artwork before it gets fired. Then the design will be fired, sometimes two to three times depending on the processes involved, with a full 24 hours or more for each firing to ensure it is carefully annealed.

4
Get ready to collect and enjoy at home

Once your bespoke glass art is finished, we will get in touch to let you know your commission is ready for collection from the studio, or by prior agreement have it delivered and fitted or shipped to you. At this point we will ask for the balance to be paid. Then you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your own piece of Galiani Glass Art, whether it’s as a family enjoying your handmade glass splashback in the kitchen or sitting in the garden enjoying the light on your glass garden sculpture – you will know that your commission is a true reflection of your personality and style.
