Commissions: Lighting

At Galiani, we craft lighting solutions that elevate the ambiance of any room.

We have always known that glass works incredibly with light and shade. So growing our fused glass art into bespoke lighting is an idea you will see us exploring through this year. Drawing upon our expertise in fused glass art, we will be creating new lighting solutions that can elevate the ambiance of any room.

Just as we do with our splashbacks, our aim is to produce lighting options that work with your interior design by using traditional glass techniques not often used today along with modern kiln working techniques. Whether a captivating pendant lamp, elegant wall lights or a dazzling chandelier, each piece will be meticulously designed to harmonise with your home.

We hope these new concepts will enable us to expand our experience of working with our clients, being able to produce solutions that can bring individuality and originality to interiors in a way that only our bespoke designs can.

Bringing our glass commission experience to design personalised solutions for lighting, means we can listen to your ideas and come up with something that really works for you. So if you have a vision and you’re looking for something truly unique, we are here to collaborate with you and bring your concept through to real life.

Keep an eye out for these new pieces as they come to light by signing up, for free, as one of our VIP members and you will be among the first to catch these new ideas and designs.

Your design flare and artisan skills have brought to life our seaside home.

Well done – we hope you are as proud of what you have created as we are joyed to look at the beautiful glasswork every day!

We are very pleased with our kitchen splashback which finishes off the kitchen a treat.

Friends and neighbours who have seen it, also think it is a beautiful piece of art.

We got inspiration for our splashback after visiting Ian and Gail’s studio.

They are friendly, helpful and willing to share their knowledge to ensure we got the product we wanted and will love for a long long time.

The entire experience from beginning to end has been exceptional.

First meeting Ian at the workshop and being able to see the amazing art work you both create and Ian sharing his creative ideas which enabled us to make the right choice.

…attention to detail, understanding of what we wanted, their all-round support and customer service was excellent

Visiting their studio meant we could talk through what we wanted and make the right choice for our kitchen splashback.

Dorset Scenes Window Insert

Our clients had seen us at an event the previous Year and they had a creative idea for a set of windows they felt we could bring to life for them. They called to arrange to come to the studio to chat about a possible commission of a series of four handmade windows to adorn a pair of interior doors accessing the living room.

Silver Wrist Torc Memory Glass

We were first approached to consider producing one of our handmade memory glass pieces on the anniversary of a beloved brother’s passing. Several family members came to see us to discuss options and what was possible.

Flame Glass and Metal Garden Sculpture

When the call came from the client it was to meet up and see whether we were the right studio to consider for a glass and metal garden sculpture that they had been thinking about for a few years. It wasn’t until they saw our glass that they were struck that this was the medium they wanted in the garden.

Isle of Wight Splashback

Our clients met us at Mudeford Arts Festival and loved our work. They had not long had a new kitchen fitted and were looking for just the right design for a splashback. When they saw our glass, they knew immediately that our fused glass panels were the way to go and went home to work out the size panel they would like.

DECO handmade glass splashback

We were asked to make one of our handmade glass splashbacks to compliment not just a new kitchen and some of the interior styled furnishings but also the very Art Deco inspired building. We followed up with a meeting to talk over the images, materials, design possibilities and getting to know and understand what options we could explore.
