Cresting Wave
Inspired by our love of the sea, this stunning fused glass wave captures the action and power of the ocean.
The layers of glass give the surface texture, depth and reflection when mounted on the wall and have been fired a number of times to create the eye-catching effect we want to achieve. Created using a palette of ‘sea’ coloured glasses, that have been hand cut, with craftsmanship, so you feel the motion of the sea as the wave forms.

Handmade in UK, at our Studio in Dorset, the Cresting Wave is signed and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity for you.

The Creation Process
The Cresting Wave is made using an Art Glass which is cut, by hand, to bring together the shades of glass that reflect the moving sea and ocean. The art glass is then placed carefully into the kiln to fire for the first time and delicately cooled (annealed) to protect the glass integrity and strength. It then goes through hand-finishing before the next addition of glass. Another round of firing, cooling and finishing before a final stage when we achieve the ultimate design and concept we aimed for.
It is all of these processes and craftsmanship in glass working that gives the final result and quality finish you will see from Galiani fused glass art.
Caring for your Glass Art
We all expect glass to be delicate but it does have it’s inherent strength too. No item is unbreakable so we always ask you to care for you glass with kindness and appreciation.
When installing or moving your glass art we suggest using a heavy towel to lay your glass on and protect it from any abrasive surface.
Cleaning your fused glass is straightforward. You can use a household glass cleaner on a dust-free or a leather cloth and a final buff to get that beautiful glassy shine. No abrasive cleaners or cloths please.
When moving the piece, we suggest you carry the stand and disc separately, so they don’t bang together.
Shipping
Our glass is packaged in a double-walled box and safely wrapped for protection before making its way to you.
Packaging and delivery (insured) within the UK are included in the price.
